Kanda River, Takado bridge, Sakura train

Kanda river quietly flows under the Tokato bridge. Where once laid yellow rice paddies, a tram car with its metallic noise bends into the main street towards the terminal station.

The Arakawa Line, the sole survivor of Tokyo’s once-extensive Tokyo Toden streetcar system, was originally constructed by the Ōji Electric Tram Company, with the oldest section still operating today opened in 1913.
