Hercules’ archery field

Located in front of the museum, on permanent display, the statue of Hercules the Archer by sculptor Bourdelle ideally connects with the archery target depicted by Hiroshige.

Notes

The National Museum of Western Art’s original Main Building was designed by the Swiss-French modernist architect Le Corbusier. The building is now a nationally registered Important Cultural Property, and is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
