Rafts at Heiwa no Mori Park

Although navigation is strictly regulated, rafts are still visible in Tokyo. They are nowadays used to amuse and challenge children in one of the largest parks in Ota district.

The Heiwa no Mori Park Athletic Course offers over 40 different obstacles scattered throughout the sprawling, shaded site. Challenges range from conquering climbing nets and scaling high walls to crossing swinging bridges and utilizing various ziplines. A separate section, reached via a walkway over the road that bisects the park, focuses on water-based trials. You can attempt to cross the pond on a series of swaying log rafts or try your hand at paddling one of the stand-up barrel boats.
